Bridging Exports and Underserved Communities Program
GISI’s signature program is the basis of our constantly evolving initiatives connecting communities, banking and business around the U.S. Our strategy focuses on the connectivity of 30 regions and 100 manufacturing/port centers, providing platforms for "Born Global" firms, leading to export and trade led economic development for distressed and excluded communities.
This program develops Manufacturing, Export and Trade Centers, which serves as the basis for localized Export and Trade led economic development. Leaning on the idea that providing jobs to the immediate community through industry, will lead to housing and neighborhood stabilization and ancillary economic investment and/or expansion.
Our Export Centers creates and expands “turn key” export and foreign direct investment focal points. GISI through private-public sector partnerships and metro policy creation, establishes these export centers in proposed, new and/or existing port structures.
These centers are designed to attract mainly, but not exclusively, small and mid-sized enterprises, service providers and sponsors (SME's), provide jobs and stable economic centers.
The Sustainable Ports and Economic Inclusion Initiative (SPEI)
SPEI builds networks of communities, ports, businesses, Private-Public-NGO and free trade partners, promoting the growth of U.S. Export and Trade and the living wage jobs and careers created via these networks and policies. Our export centers link global and localized policy, business and banking with underserved communities.
The Business Resource Network (BRN©)
A major conduit of market penetration is GISI’s business resource network (BRN©) developed in 2011, (BRN©) expands export and trade access points for distressed communities and businesses. Our ongoing efforts increase business and workforce development utilizing government policy, national and regional financing, ports and free trade zones. These efforts enhance and expand goods movement competitiveness and efficiency. GISI via BRN© links of businesses with and within, inland, river, and seaports creating and/or enhancing foreign trade zone opportunities and cooperative port agreements between domestic and foreign operations.
Our network adds the advantage of combining the GDP and regional resources of these primarily underserved and underutilized communities, and connects with international, federal, state, banking and private sector initiatives and resources creating immediate market value across many industries, (i.e. manufacturing and services) assisting with entry into the global marketplace.
